Rice Garden Anchorage

Egg Foo Young is close to my heart but not every place has it, not every place serves huge portions like this, and not every place serves it with American brown gravy. For those who enjoy this dish..one of the best I’ve ever had. For those who have never tried it, it is indeed an omelette with gravy on top served with rice. Nothing special about it but it’s nostalgic and delish for the ones that enjoy it. As mentioned before..portion is Huge! I’m not in anchorage much but this is my spot and this is my dish whenever I’m in town.

I went there with no expectations. The dishes were lovely though. I had the sizzling hot plate beef, the delicious crispy Peking duck and a Kong bao toufu which was also very good. We did ask the chef to reduce the salt level since we come from Singapore and the locals tend to be generous with salt.

Heard that this place had great steak, and we were not disappointed! Between that and the awesome Chinese menu, this might be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Anchorage.

Best Chinese in town! A small detail oriented restaurant!

Looks so so from outside but it was great on the inside. Staff was very nice and remembered my preferences even after 2 days. Funny part is, it is a Chinese place but serves good bbq and steak. So kind of something for everyone. I tried Chinese both days and was not disappointed. Portions were always huge and almost served as a hearty breakfast / meal. Servers were nice and quick.

Love, Love, Love this place! They have the best steaks in Anchorage. I was so worried I'd never have a Rice Bowl steak again! Thank goodness they just changed the name & moved down by Merrill Field.

First of all I want to say thank again to thr waitress. She was all alone and busy but did an amazing job. Always thank you to thr people that show up to work. We had walnut shrimp 1st and thrn for a mean I had thr house lo mien and my friend had the cashew shrimp. The food was very good. The best walnut shrimp I have ever had. And call me a noob but I didn't know thr differencebetween chow mine and lo mien till I read this menu. A cute place and fun. Food was warm and I know thr staff were doing their best. Definitely worth checking out. :)

The tofu vegetable lo-mein was exceptional, despite my preference for meat dishes, it was the standout meal of my entire trip. The waiter was incredibly accommodating, making all the changes we needed for our order. I also tried the Mongolian chicken with rice, which was also delicious. I highly recommend paying a visit to this place.
